Lewis B. Freeman was appointed the Receiver
for PRSI on January 4, 2000. In
an amended Order dated January 13, 2000, the Judge declared
that the Receiver's duties are to marshal, preserve, protect,
maintain and safeguard the assets and records of PRSI.
These duties were discussed with and agreed to by counsel for
the Attorney General’s office and the defendants prior to the Judge
signing the amended order. Please
understand that, as Receiver, Mr. Freeman is an officer of the court
and neutral as to the legal dispute between the Attorney General’s
office and the defendants.
