On May 16, 2000, the Receiver mailed IRS Forms 1099 to members of PRSI who received payments of money from PRSI during 1999. The information appearing on the forms 1099 came directly from the records of PRSI.

The Receiver has found that in some instances checks issued by PRSI during 1999 to certain members were not honored because PRSI's bank account was frozen. In an effort to correct this situation, the Receiver will amend those 1099's before reporting to the Internal Revenue Service (IRS).

The Receiver cannot provide tax advice to anyone who received a form; therefore, if you have questions about the form, please consult your tax adviser or the IRS directly.
